From being the kid who never took English lessons to becoming director of studies in the largest language school in Canada, Melissa Guarino’s journey is anything but ordinary.
She found her love of English while attending high-school in Australia. Fast-forward a couple of years, she landed her first teaching gig while she attended university to become a journalist. The truth is that she found her vocation and never left the industry.
Today, Mel holds a CELTA (Certificate in teaching adults), a DELTA M1, M2, and a certificate of proficiency in English, all issued by Cambridge English. She also has an IELTS. In addition, Melissa has written textbooks and assessments for teenagers and adults, including a series for air-traffic controllers in Brazil.

- Certificate in English Language Teaching Adults (CELTA) – Cambridge English – pass with grade A
- Certificate of Proficiency in English (C2 Proficiency) – Cambridge ESOL Examinations

- Certificate in Creative, Critical and Design Thinking – McMaster University

How it works
Our classes are delivered online using a video-conference platform, such as zoom; google hangouts; skype. Class files are shared with students on Google Classroom and Google Drive.
